I was accidentally enrolled in MoneyLions XXXX XXXX XXXX membership due to a confusing and misleading user interface in their app. The enrollment process was not clear, and at no point did the app clearly explain that I was agreeing to a locked-in two-month commitment period with recurring membership fees. I never intended to join or pay for this service. When I attempted to cancel, MoneyLion provided contradictory information. I was told that I could request a refund, but I was also told that the fees are non-refundable. I was further told that if I cancel now, they would remove my banking information, which would then make it impossible to process a refund. This effectively forces consumers to keep the account open and continue paying for a service they never intended to use. These practices are confusing, inconsistent, and appear deliberately difficult.…

CFPB, On reviewing my recent bank activity, I noticed a {$19.00} charge from MoneyLion that I did not authorize and do not understand. I currently do not have an active XXXX XXXX XXXX membership or loan w ith MoneyLion. According to MoneyLions website, this {$19.00} fee is associated with their XXXX XXXX XXXX membership plan, but I am not enrolled in that program and have not received any notice, email, or in-app message indicating that I would be billed. I also have not used their credit builder services recently, nor did I sign up for any paid membership. This makes the charge appear to be unauthorized or improper billing activity. There should not have been any membership fee charged to my account when no active membership or service exists.

I ask that this matter be investigated promptly and that any information that can not be substantiated be removed from my consumer credit reports.
MoneyLion offered a XXXX XXXX subscription service that includes loan. except that the loan is bogus. The subscription required to access loan adds another {$300.00} in costs to loan. Plus interest on the other MoneyLion " products '' and requests tips! I did not make first payment of " loan '' and now other services that subscription was paying for are now denied access. But I'm still expected to pay subscription. for no services. and a loan payment. for nothing. when all is said and done they are trying to corner me into giving them XXXX of dollars while calling it a loan. They refuse to cancel account. They claim I owe them {$75.00}. I'm disputing this claim. This is predatory and manipulative. How is this even possible?
On XX/XX/XXXX MoneyLion restricted my account without providing any explanation. I still have a significant amount of funds in there. I have reached out over XXXX times since them asking for information and they have ignored all of my requests.
On or about XX/XX/year>, my MoneyLion debit card was used to process more than XXXX unauthorized XXXX XXXX transactions. I reported the unauthorized activity promptly and provided the requested documentation. Instead of resolving my dispute in a timely manner, I experienced repeated delays, inconsistent responses, and significant difficulty obtaining assistance. During this process, MoneyLion closed my account on XXXX separate occasions, making it even more difficult to access my account information, communicate about my claim, and resolve the unauthorized transactions. The handling of my dispute has caused me substantial financial hardship and unnecessary stress. After more than XXXX years, this matter remains unresolved despite my repeated efforts to work with MoneyLion and XXXX XXXX. I respectfully request that MoneyLion : - Conduct a final executive review of my dispute.…
I am writing to file a complaint against MoneyLion regarding its failure to send me funds that were credited to my checking account after I closed it in the fall of XXXX. MoneyLion logged me out of my account on my phone, then jumped to me having to verify my identity, even though I have a existing account and it's in use. I sent in clear pictures of my state issued ID front and back. They told me to wait but I worked for that I should have my money that I worked for. They made it seem as if technology and machines made themselves and that they can't manually fix the problem. Every single time I get paid it's been a problem. I called five times and still no valid answer to my account getting fixed or if it's being reviewed in a proper manner thats not conflicting with bills and family emergencies. Please help!! Thank you!
I have a debit checking account with Moneylion. They supplied a " virtual card '' that I do not use, and they allowed a fraudulent {$99.00} charge, when there was only {$13.00} in the account. Their own documentation states they don't allow overdrafting. So even though this {$99.00} charge was fraudulent. at the very least, this transaction should have been Declined. They refuse to reverse the charge, they refuse to provide evidence why, and make it next to impossible to appeal.
I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/year>, the XXXX XXXX XXXX platform MoneyLion executed an aggressive, single-sum electronic debit of {$910.00} from my checking account, completely wiping my balance to zero. This entire balance consisted of my federally protected XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Compensation and Pension XXXX monthly direct deposit. Under federal law ( 38 U.S.C. 5301 ), XXXX XXXX benefits are strictly exempt from the claims of creditors and shall not be liable to attachment, XXXX, or XXXX by any legal or equitable process. MoneyLion bypassed standard consumer banking protections to execute a predatory total-balance sweep of my account.…
MoneyLion Technologies Inc. has been withdrawing money from my bank account without my authorization. I have been charged XXXX withdrawals of {$43.00} and XXXX withdrawals of {$9.00}, totaling {$200.00}. These charges occur irregularly, approximately twice per month, with no explanation or pattern. I have never applied for a loan, never received a loan, never signed any agreement, and never authorized MoneyLion to access my bank account. Despite this, they continue to debit my card with no communication, no documentation, and no consent. There is no loan, no contract, and no legitimate reason for these charges. Their actions appear deceptive and fraudulent, and they are accessing my funds without permission. I am requesting : A full refund of all unauthorized withdrawals ( {$200.00} total ). Immediate closure of any account MoneyLion may have created in my name without consent. A stop to all future withdrawals.…
Improper tactics. Approved for loan, then locked out of account. Now reporting loan was given and received, and payments due. Company contact information invalid.
I am filing a complaint regarding MoneyLions denial of my XXXX eligibility based on identity verification. I previously qualified for and used MoneyLion XXXX and repaid the advance in full. When I reapplied, I was required to complete identity verification and submitted multiple photos of myself and my valid government-issued identification. After completing verification, I was told my information does not match public records and that I am not eligible for XXXX. No specific explanation was provided, and I was not told what information or public record was used in the decision. I was also told there is no appeal process. I requested clarification from customer service and a supervisor, but was not provided any details about the source of the information or the reason for the determination. I am not asking to be approved for the product.…
XXXX XX/XX/year> I deposited cash into my MoneyLion account so I could pay my rent. I attempted to pay my rent at my landlords bank, where they swipe my debit card and deposit it into their account. The detailer explained to me that the card was declined because I did not have the available credit limit, which was confusing because the amount of {$1200.00} was in my account. I then attempted to withdraw the money from the ATM in the bank lobby to which after XXXX transaction of {$400.00} XXXX suspended my account they did not reach out to me to explain why my account was suspended. I had to call their customer service after being on the phone for XXXX minutes. They finally explained to me that my account was suspended and I needed to provide identification and documents to reopen my account. They will not allow me to access the remaining {$900.00} in my account until that was provided this issue is causing me to be late on my rent payment for this month.…
I am filing a complaint against XXXX regarding the deceptive withholding of my funds and a complete denial of account transparency. I had a XXXX XXXX loan and XXXX XXXX advances ( beginning in XXXX and the relationship extended into early XXXX ). When I contacted customer service to understand why I did not have access to cash advances anymore, the customer service person insisted that it was because I owed {$640.00} ; however, I have the payment confirmation email that was sent to me on XXXX. Then during a chat, the rep changed the message and said the problem was actually that I still owed ~ {$83.00}. However, once again, they were never able to provide evidence or documentation of any kind. In addition, they falsely reported the {$83.00} as outstanding debit to the credit bureaus ( I have filed a separate complaint to address that ). Despite the issues, they closed the credit builder loan but ever returned the residual funds ( approximately {$400.00} ) to me.…

Also they gave me different information than what was on the credit report that I received they were stating that it was a fully secure loan when I had on my end that it was a partially secured loan but they refuse to give me details
XXXX took 2 unauthorized transactions out of my account on XX/XX/XXXX in the amounts of {$100.00} and {$52.00} for something called XXXX XXXX which I have never heard of. I have tried resolving this with both XXXX and my bank Moneylion and both of them have refused to give me my money back breaking federal law. I need help in this matter so my money can be returned.
I was notified I was approved for the credit builder loan for {$1000.00}. Loan number : XXXX dated XX/XX/year>. I was not aware of the hidden fees and requirement to hold 80 % of the funds in a credit reserve account. I was no it aware that I would be forced to maintain a membership at {$19.00} per month. On top of that Im being charged a {$150.00} finance charge. The interest rate is 29.91 % APR. As soon as I became aware I tried to cancel the membership and immediately pay back the amount of {$200.00} that was disbursed to me. Ive contacted MoneyLion through their chat, phone, and several emails to customer care, customer advocacy, XXXX department, and XXXX XXXX department. I sent an email attempting to immediately pay the {$200.00} that was disbursed to me and asked that they use the credit reserve for the remaining amount. I requested fo withdraw my ACH authorization. I have disputee this with XXXX, Moneylion, XXXX XXXX XXXX During calls with MoneyLion on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX I called XXXX ( the dispute letter response they provided, did not acknowledge the charge off at all, and it gave me an incorrect number to follow up with XXXX ) ; that first call hung up on me after I have them my information. I attempted to open a MoneyLion Spend checking account but encountered an error during the automated identity verification process. I reached out to customer support because the system locked me out, but I could not reach a front-line agent who was able to manually verify my ID to resolve the error. Crucially, MoneyLion customer support WAS able to successfully manually verify my legal identity and ID to approve me for their XXXX feature. However, they flatly refused to provide the same manual verification or clear the block for the MoneyLion Spend checking account. As shown in the attached email ( XXXX ), they stated : " For security reasons, we are unable to manually verify your account. '' It is an unfair and contradictory practice to deny me access to a banking account based on an automated verification error on their end, especially when they have already successfully verified my identity for another feature on their exact same platform.…
I was scammed by a XXXX cashier. Was charged a simultaneous {$75.00} and {$35.00} from them 6 mins after leaving store in which I only used the atm wich was {$23.00} at XXXX and purchased snacks wich was only {$10.00}. At XXXX pm. But 6 mins after leaving the store at XXXX pm a simultaneous charge on my card was charged within the same minute for {$75.00} and {$35.00} from XXXX. The charges even have a different code on them then the real XXXX charges I made. I called money lion to dispute immediately and it was denied to to insufficient evidence. So I called to appeal. And they said something that gave me even more leverage. The payment was some how made in Texas or the charge was set up to look like it was made in XXXXwhicu I didn't know until just now meaning it was anxiously fraud.…
Subject : Unreasonable hold on confirmed payroll direct deposit Case XXXX I am filing a complaint against MoneyLion regarding an unreasonable hold placed on my payroll direct deposit of approximately {$6700.00} which arrived on Friday, XX/XX/year>. MoneyLion advertises a 2-day early pay feature, which would have made these funds available on XX/XX/year>. Instead, the funds have been held under manual review for three days with no resolution, directly contradicting their advertised service. MoneyLion has confirmed receipt of the funds and confirmed the exact amount, yet has placed the deposit under a manual review hold. My official payday is tomorrow, XX/XX/year>, and I have bill payments due that same day that I will be unable to meet as a direct result of this hold. I contacted MoneyLion customer support three times today, XX/XX/year>. Each time I requested a supervisor and was either given a callback promise that never happened or left on hold with no resolution.…
I have a delinquent amount reported on my credit report. I have been trying to resolve this issue for over two years. I sent messages, called over a dozen times and spent hours on the phone trying to pay them because the reported amount is only {$120.00}. They wanted me to open an account and refused to take any money unless it was tied with a checking account.
I have a credit builder loan with moneylion my payment was due on XX/XX/XXXX, and to be on time I made the payment a few days early on the XXXX for what was due on the XXXX. They tried to charge me again on the XXXX. I contacted them and they told me I can only make the payment due on the XXXX on the XXXX anything before the XXXX they see as an extra payment, when I told them no I was not making an extra payment that is my payment for this month they would do nothing to fix the issue instead told me I am forced to pay on XXXX specific day each month any other payment is tacked on to the end of the loan not the payment that was due in literally 3 days. I told them im sorry I will not pay a second payment again 3 days later and that is my payment for this month, they basically told me tough luck.
I have fulfilled all of my payment obligations for both my XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX account, yet I continue to be denied access to XXXX without a valid explanation. My payment history is as follows : XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX payment received by the company. XXXX : Payment was deferred after I spoke with a company representative and was advised that a deferment would be applied. XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX payment received by the company. Current : My XXXX balance has been paid in full, and my account is current. Despite paying approximately {$450.00} {$500.00} toward these services, the company has continued to deny my access to XXXX while providing no clear reason for the restriction. I have contacted customer support seeking an explanation and resolution, but the issue remains unresolved.
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), only accurate and verifiable information may be reported to consumer reporting agencies. If the late payments can not be verified as accurate, I request that they be removed from all credit reporting agencies immediately.
MoneyLion has not released my payroll direct deposit and states that the delay is due to my employer. They continue to blame my employer even though the payroll files were submitted almost XXXX weeks ago. I am on a semi-monthly pay schedule where I get paid on the XXXX and XXXX of every month, making my official payday Tuesday, XX/XX/year>. My timesheet was submitted on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX, and my employer transmitted the payroll file to the network by Wednesday, XX/XX/XXXX. The Federal Reserve XXXX network typically processes and transfers payroll files to banks within XXXX to XXXX business days, meaning MoneyLion and their partner bank, XXXX, XXXX, have had this file for over a week. My coworkers ' deposits are processing normally for Tuesday, which indicates the employer file was successfully sent and cleared. MoneyLion advertises up to 2 days early direct deposit, including weekends.…
