In XX/XX/year>, I disputed inaccurate and misleading credit reporting on my federally XXXX XXXX XXXX serviced by Nelnet. These loans were fully XXXX under my 100 % Total and Permanent Disability ( TPD ) Veteran discharge, but Nelnet is furnishing status remarks that do not match the discharge or federal reporting requirements. The accounts are showing misleading comments such as Responsibility : Terminated, Account closed due to transfer, and Dispute resolved reported by grantor, which are not accurate for a TPDdischarged federal loan and are harming my credit. I asked Nelnet to explain these remarks and provide documentation supporting their reporting. On XX/XX/year>, Nelnet sent a generic denial letter stating that all credit reporting is valid and accurate without addressing the TPD discharge, without explaining the remarks, and without providing any documentation.

I am submitting this complaint regarding my federal student loans currently serviced by Nelnet and previously associated with Great Lakes. These loans originated from my attendance at XXXX XXXX XXXX a now-closed for-profit institution that has since become associated with allegations involving deceptive practices and borrower defense claims. I attended XXXX XXXX beginning around XXXX and graduated in approximately XX/XX/XXXX. I was repeatedly told that the program would lead to strong employment opportunities, transferable college credits, and manageable student loan repayment due to expected high earnings in the medical field. Many of these representations later proved to be misleading. I am currently preparing and pursuing a Borrower Defense to Repayment application with the U.S. Department of Education. In addition to concerns involving the school itself, I have concerns regarding the servicing and continued balance growth of my federal student loans.

I have previously submitted for an income driven repayment plan for my student loans. They were never processed accordingly and now all of my student loans are showing late payments. This reduced my credit score drastically within a month 's time. I have re-processed my application for the IDR plan and it is now approved, however, the Nelnet will not correct or delete the late payments from my credit report, even though my loans are currently in forbearance and on an IDR plan, as well as me being enrolled in school fulltime. I am not asking for any type of loan forgiveness, I am asking that the late payment reports be removed from all credit bureaus as this is significantly impacting my finances.

I am submitting this complaint regarding what I believe to be deceptive and misleading repayment information provided by Nelnet during my recent repayment plan change request. I recently applied through Nelnets online portal to switch my federal student loans from an Income Driven Repayment ( IDR ) plan to the Extended Fixed Repayment Plan. During the application process, Nelnet clearly displayed a projected monthly payment amount of {$860.00} under the Extended Fixed Repayment Plan. I took screenshots of this quoted payment amount during the application process because I relied on that information when deciding to submit the repayment plan change request. After my application was processed, I received notification that the request had been completed. I then logged into my Nelnet account to confirm when the new payment amount would begin. At that point, I discovered that my monthly payment had been set at {$920.00} instead of the previously quoted {$860.00}.

I have XXXX federal student loans serviced by Nelnet. I did not receive any billing notifications, no emails, no mail, no phone calls, indicating that my loans had entered repayment or that payments were due. I was never alerted that I was approaching delinquency at any point during the period in question. I discovered the delinquency only when I noticed my XXXX XXXX had dropped XXXX points from XXXX to XXXX. Upon discovering this, I immediately brought all XXXX accounts current and paid the past-due amounts in full. I have not missed a payment since. I contacted Nelnet to request a goodwill removal of the negative credit reporting, given that the delinquency was the direct result of a failure to receive any notification from the servicer. Nelnet refused to assist. I am requesting that Nelnet remove the negative credit reporting associated with this delinquency period from all three credit bureaus.

Dear XXXX Ombudsman : I am writing to formally dispute an error in the income-driven repayment ( IDR ) forgiveness tracking applied to two of my federal student loans. Re : Update to Existing Complaint Complaint Number : XXXX Complaint Against : Nelnet Account Number : XXXX. Primary Borrower : XXXX XXXX XXXX I am submitting the following additional information to supplement my existing complaint. Several significant developments have occurred since my original filing that materially strengthen my complaint and warrant updated consideration. NEW FACT 1 : NELNET HAD CURRENT CONTACT INFORMATION AND DID NOT USE IT I have since learned that Nelnet had my phone number, email address, and personal references on file, including a friend and my brother, at the time the delinquency was reported. Despite having multiple current and direct means of reaching me, Nelnet made no attempt to contact me by phone, email, or through any reference. All three notices cited as notification attempts, dated XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX, were sent regular mail to an address I had vacated in XX/XX/XXXX, between 21 and 27 months before each notice was sent.

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding my student loan accounts serviced by Nelnet. I believe my account information is being inaccurately reported and inadequately verified after my personal information was compromised. I am writing to request an investigation into late payment reporting on my credit file. Late payments were reported for XXXXXXXX XXXX totaling approximately {$450.00}. I was unaware these payments were required separately, as I believed they were being handled through another loan account. No clear notice was received indicating separate payment responsibility. Upon discovering the issue, I took immediate action and paid the full past-due balance on XXXX XXXX XXXX, bringing the account current. Since then, the account has remained in good standing. Because this situation resulted from a misunderstanding and not intentional nonpayment, I respectfully request that these late payment entries be reviewed and removed if found to be inaccurate or improperly reported.

I am requesting a goodwill adjustment regarding the late payment history being reported on my account. The loan has since been paid in full, and I have satisfied my financial obligation entirely. I respectfully ask that you consider removing the late payment reporting from my credit history as a courtesy. The negative marks no longer reflect my current financial standing or responsibility, especially now that the account has been fully resolved. I would sincerely appreciate your consideration in helping me improve my credit profile moving forward. Thank you for your time and review of this request.

Nelent claimed to have sent me letters, phone calls, and texts regarding payments coming back and late payments, but they did not. I asked for the dates and the address they sent this to, but they could not tell me at all. To this day, they still refuse to get rid of the late payment notifications and have it listed where the same month they started to take payments again, that I was 30 days late, which does not make sense.

On XX/XX/year>, Nelnet debited {$1000.00} from my bank account, resulting in an overdraft. They did not have authorization to take this much money from my account. My automatic loan payments are {$120.00} per month. They stated they sent an email notification regarding a change but I have no record of this change nor did I approve that much being taken out of my account. I have screenshots of my last three regular student loan payments and this new overcharge. I need to file a formal complaint against nelnet and now have to dispute the charge. am filing a complaint regarding inaccurate and excessive credit reporting by Nelnet concerning my student loan accounts. Nelnet is currently reporting approximately 13 separate entries/accounts on my credit report related to my student loans. The reporting appears duplicative, misleading, excessive, and damaging to my credit profile. The multiple tradelines significantly increase my debt appearance, negatively impact my credit utilization/history, and create confusion regarding the actual number of accounts owed. I believe the reporting may be inaccurate, improperly duplicated, or improperly segmented in a way that unfairly harms my credit standing.

I am submitting this complaint regarding my student loan servicer, Nelnet, and their repeated failure to correctly process my Income-Based Repayment ( IBR ) application. I have applied for IBR four times and have called Nelnet multiple times seeking resolution. Current financial situation : I have been unemployed since XX/XX/year> My only income is unemployment benefits of approximately $ XXXX ( gross ) My household/family size is 2 Using these figures, my IBR payment should be substantially lower than $ XXXX likely under $ XXXX based on standard XXXX discretionary income calculations.
