This debt collector has done unjustifiable practices of the FDCPA which it prohibits. They furnished this account that we didn't agree upon and I didn't sign an agreement on. A legal contract is signed by two parties and I did not participate in any of it. they didn't follow the proper 5-step validation procedure. According to the FDCPA, Im entitled to compensation for these violations and clearly, they violated my rights and abused my privileges. I demand this account be taken off immediately.

The collection agency is refusing to provide full validation or verification of this disputed debt as required by federal law, and is failing to provide accessible, documented payment options outside of high-pressure phone calls. The only thing I have been sent is a one page letter stating the amount attempting to be recovered and what number to call, no itemized list as requested and no further details on payment. Company refuses to comply.

The Lease with XXXX XXXX in Clinton, XXXX was prematurely declared void due to the apartment being unlivable prior to its term end date. Procollect , INC ( hereafter referred to as " the collection agency '' ) was hired in order to attempt to collect a debt that was not owed. Several disputes were filed by both the co-owner of the alleged " debt '' and myself, with the most recent dispute being filed XX/XX/year>. The disputes offered proof that late payments were not supposed to be on our account and we're due to error as well as proof of the written request for repairs and declaration of an unlivable apartment. Pictures of electrical hazards, lack of heating and AC, evidence of interior water damage and mold were also provided. The collection agency denied all claims and will not stop harassing me.

I returned the call on XX/XX/XXXX. I told her that they were required by law to provide that and she said that it was already on my credit report and I could verify it there. I told her that it was not on my report. She said, " check again. it's there. ' We went back and forth a few times about requesting the verification of debt. She kept saying that they don't provide that. I requested to speak to a supervisor. She put me on hold but came back and repeated the same info over again.

This is a follow-up to CFPB Complaint # XXXX. I submitted a consumer response on XX/XX/XXXX disputing the company 's validation attempt. The company did not respond, and the complaint was closed without resolution. I am filing this new complaint regarding Pro Collect, Inc. 's continued attempt to collect a reported balance of {$2200.00} tied to a lease at XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX, TX ). Pro Collect 's prior CFPB response included the original creditor 's final account ledger and a partial copy of an early-termination addendum. Their office subsequently mailed me a complete physical copy of the lease as supporting documentation. While that document confirms the underlying lease terms, it does not establish that the {$2400.00} termination fee was paid within the required window. This debt remains unvalidated. The disputed balance is driven by a {$2400.00} " Lease Termination Fee '' charged under Paragraph XXXX and Item J of my signed lease.

Dear [ Credit Bureau Name ], I am writing to formally dispute inaccurate information appearing on my credit report regarding an eviction-related account and the reported lease balance of $ [ XXXX ] associated with [ XXXX XXXX/pro collect ]. The account is being reported as a debt owed from an eviction/lease agreement ; however, this matter was dismissed by the court, and there is no valid judgment or legally enforceable obligation supporting the reporting of the full lease amount as a debt. Because the eviction proceeding was dismissed, the information being reported is inaccurate, incomplete, and misleading. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), Section 611 ( 15 U.S.C. 1681i ), I am requesting that you conduct a reasonable investigation into this disputed information. Please verify the accuracy and completeness of the account with the furnisher of the information.

I was never notified by the apartment or ProCollect that my account had been sent to collections. I only found out when I saw it on my credit report. On XX/XX/year>, I called ProCollect multiple times to ask about the account. After finding an email address online, I emailed them the same day requesting information about the debt. I did not receive any response. On XX/XX/year>, I called multiple times again and was told I needed to email the manager. I emailed the manager immediately and again requested the documentation. It has now been almost a month with no response, no information, and no formal letter. I also have written proof from the apartment stating that I had 48 hours after my lease ended to return my keys, but the apartment ignored this and still charged me for days I was not living there. I attempted to resolve this with the apartment before it was sent to collections, but they did not respond to me either.

More than XXXX years later, a collection account for approximately {$2900.00} appeared on my credit report in XX/XX/XXXX. I dispute this collection account in full. The amount alleged is {$1100.00} ( reported to XX/XX/XXXXas {$1100.00} ). I disputed it in writing twice on XX/XX/year> and XX/XX/year>. On XX/XX/year> the company provided a cover letter, a copy of my lease, and a XXXX Account XXXX. Those documents do not validate the debt ; they show it is invalid : The charge is principally a {$1200.00} " early termination fee. '' I did not terminate my lease early. My signed lease states the term ends at XXXX p.m. on XX/XX/year>. I moved out on or before XX/XX/year> the natural expiration date of the lease. Moving out on the last day of the lease term is not early termination. The creditor 's own XXXX Account XXXX lists a contradictory lease-end date : its " XXXX information '' section shows the lease expiring XX/XX/year>, which conflicts with the signed lease 's stated end date of XX/XX/year>. I am filing a complaint regarding a debt collection account that contains inaccurate and unverified charges, as well as the collectors failure to properly respond to my dispute and provide meaningful access to account resolution. I previously submitted a written dispute requesting validation of the alleged debt, including documentation supporting each charge being reported. Additionally, I paid my rent in full for the month of XXXX, and I am attaching supporting receipts confirming full payment. In XX/XX/2026, I discovered a collection account on my credit reports from this debt collector for {$110.00} related to a residential rental. I had never received any written notification about this debt before it was reported to the credit bureaus. Nothing! no validation notice, no notice of my right to dispute, no information about the debt itself as required by FDCPA 1692g. I contacted the company directly via email on XX/XX/2026 offering to pay the full balance in exchange for removal from credit bureaus. The representative responded with one word : " Denied. '' I followed up multiple times in XX/XX/2026 explaining that I was never contacted before they reported this debt to credit bureaus, and was never given the opportunity to dispute or pay it. The representative responded only with " We don't delete '' and ultimately stated " I'll note your refusal to pay '' and that is despite me repeatedly offering full payment.

Last complaint I made was due to the harassment of phone calls by procollect. Those has not stopped. I've gotten three on this past Thursday and two this past Monday. I have yet to get a letter stating they have the legal right to collect this debt. Due to my information being given to them by my old apartment complex. I also did not proceed to tell them my email nor address when I spot with them on the phone. However, was told they would send me a letter. I did get a letter stating they are collecting debt, not any of the information that I requested. I also requested a cease and desist in regards of the nonstop calling and harassment. The only way to contact me is through the mail so I can have documentation. They have yet to do that as well. This is my third complaint.
