I am filing a formal complaint against Sequium Asset Solutions , LLC for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) by attempting to collect and report an entirely invalid, fraudulent debt. The original company, XXXX, mistakenly charged me {$220.00} for an internet device after their own representative explicitly instructed me in writing on XX/XX/year>, prior to my move from XXXX to New York on XX/XX/XXXX, to keep the device. I successfully disputed this fraudulent charge with my credit card issuer, XXXX XXXX. Following a formal investigation into XXXXXXXX XXXX billing error, XXXX permanently reversed the funds and credited my account on XX/XX/year>, ruling the charge invalid and leaving a balance of {$0.00} owed. Despite this official financial resolution, Sequium Asset Solutions has placed an inaccurate collection tradeline on my XXXX and XXXX credit files for this exact same {$220.00} balance, damaging my credit score.…

I discovered inconsistent and potentially inaccurate debt collection reporting related to an alleged XXXX XXXX account. On or around XX/XX/year>, I reviewed my credit/account information and noticed that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was reporting a collection account with a balance of approximately {$530.00}. The account was reported as opened on or around XX/XX/year>. I also received a separate collection communication from Sequium Asset Solutions regarding what appears to be the same XXXX XXXX account. However, Sequium Asset Solutions claimed the balance owed was approximately {$790.00}. The balances, reporting information, and collection details are inconsistent between the companies. I am concerned that : the debt amount is inaccurate, duplicate collection activity may be occurring, ownership of the debt is unclear, and inaccurate information is being reported to credit bureaus.…

On XX/XX/year>, the debt collection company texted my mother about a line-of-credit loan I had taken out. In the text, they included a statement detailing the debt and how much is owed. She is not a co-signer on that loan and has never had anything to do with it. I never added her as a reference or gave her phone number to the original creditor, so there is no reason the debt collector should be contacting her. She forwarded the text to my cell phone number, then replied STOP to the text shed received so that they wont contact her any further.

In XX/XX/year> a collection account from Sequium Asset Solutions appeared on my credit report for an XXXX XXXX debt I never opened. I have never had an XXXX XXXX account and never received any communication from Sequium before they started reporting. No debt validation letter was ever sent to me. Reporting an unvalidated debt I do not recognize is a direct violation of my consumer rights.

I am disputing inaccurate reporting by Sequium Asset Solutions regarding a collection account associated with XXXX This account reflects a balance of {$250.00} ; however, it also shows a past due amount of {$0.00} while still being reported as a collection. I have not received sufficient documentation validating the accuracy of this account, including : - A detailed breakdown of the charges - Proof of my legal obligation for this specific balance - Documentation confirming the accuracy of the amount being reported Reporting contradictory and unverified information violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ).
