After I returned my rental vehicle, I was accused of causing damage that I did not cause. See the photo belowthe alleged damage was a scratch on the rim that was less than half an inch long, and it was already there before we picked up the vehicle. I asked if they could provide pictures of the rim before and they can not furnish any pictures. Based on how the situation unfolded, I was left with the impression that the inspection process was focused on finding reasons to charge customers rather than fairly evaluating the condition of the vehicle. We drove the car to visit my grandparents in XXXX Indiana, where there weren't even any curbs. Once we arrived at their house, the vehicle remained parked until we drove it back to the airport. Despite explaining this and disputing the claim, the matter was eventually turned over to a debt collection agency. The entire process was stressful, frustrating, and left me feeling that I was treated unfairly.…

am disputing a collection account that Summit A/R ( Summit Account Resolution ) is reporting and attempting to collect. I do not owe this debt and dispute it in full. The debt originates from a rental car damage claim by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I did not cause any damage to the vehicle. XXXX has provided no evidence that the alleged damage occurred during my rental period only a single photograph taken at the time of return, which can not establish the condition of the vehicle when it was handed to me. No exit or pickup comparison photo was ever provided. The burden of proof rests with the creditor and has not been met. The amount is also unsupported and internally contradictory : XXXX demanded {$560.00}, yet its own repair estimate ( prepared by XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX ) totals only {$340.00}. There is no explanation for the {$220.00} difference. Summit 's reporting is also inaccurate. The collection record lists a " Last Payment Date '' in XX/XX/year>.…

Summit A * R Inc. ( Reference No. XXXX ) is attempting to collect {$1100.00} on behalf of XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for alleged vehicle damage from rental agreement no. XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I dispute this debt in its entirety, and the creditor 's own documentation disproves the claim. First, XXXXXXXX XXXX rental agreement, produced in the claim packet, expressly lists the identical damage as pre-existing at vehicle checkout on XX/XX/year> : " Bumper, rear / Passenger side / scratch / 5-10 cm superficial. '' The damage XXXX now claims I caused is described in its own documents as " Bumper, rear Passenger side scratch 5-10 cm. '' Same panel, same side, same dimensions. Hi XXXX XXXX and the Summit AR Executive Team, I am writing to your offices to demand immediate executive intervention regarding an unverified, completely fraudulent collection entry placed on my credit profile by your agency on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX This critical issue has just come to light and is on my radar solely because I am currently in the middle of an active loan application process. During a comprehensive credit pull for this pending transaction, this erroneous collection defect was uncovered. This unverified mark is actively obstructing a time-sensitive loan closing and causing catastrophic financial harm.I strictly deny that any damage occurred to the rental vehicle during my rental period. The vehicle was returned in the exact same pristine, undamaged condition in which it was received. No damage occurred whatsoever while the vehicle was in my possession. This collection stems entirely from a false, automated, and unsubstantiated claim by XXXX.…
Company name Summit A * R , Inc . Company address XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, XXXX, MN XXXX What type of debt? Auto / vehicle-related debt I am disputing a {$390.00} debt that Summit A * R, Inc. is attempting to collect on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, related to an alleged wheel damage claim from rental agreement # XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX l Airport, XXXX XXXX XXXX ). The damage was pre-existing at the time I took possession of the vehicle. When I directly requested photographic proof from XXXX that the wheel was undamaged at pickup, XXXX 's claims department acknowledged in writing that they do not photograph undamaged areas of vehicles. Without such documentation, there is no evidentiary basis to establish the damage occurred during my rental. Additionally, at the time of vehicle return, a XXXX agent asked me to sign a document. I explicitly asked whether it was related to the damage and was told it was not that it was a routine return form.…
I rented a vehicle from XXXX rental car in XXXX XXXX CA. I was later informed they claimed I damaged their vehicle. I did not. I sent a certified letter asserting that I did not cause damage to their vehicle and to stop threatening me See attached letter. They sent the claim to a collection agency. The collection agency never contacted me in any way. I ONLY found out about the debt collection when I noticed a lowered FICA score on my credit card statement and called XXXX. I was charged a premium for this rental. In addition, I had mechanical issues with the vehicle. When I returned the car, the attendant assured me I would receive a call from management. I was never called. The mechanical issue happened on a freeway and left me in danger on the side of the road. Their roadside assistance was abysmal, a standard call center whose representative did not know what a weigh station was. What an outrageous lack of customer service.
Summit A R is reporting a {$330.00} collection for XXXX XXXX a XXXX on my credit reports. I previously disputed this account and it remains on my file. I believe the investigation consisted only of an automated verification with no meaningful review. The collector has not provided a signed rental agreement or documentation proving the amount owed. I am requesting deletion from all three credit bureaus under FCRA 611.

XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, office of the XXXX, has already emailed me confirming this debt is invalid and no longer being pursued by XXXX. They confirmed the debt was mistakenly attributed to me, and the damage to the rental vehicle was preexisting ; meaning it is NOT MY DEBT. Despite my repeated emails to Summit AR, and forwarding Summit multiple confirmations from XXXX proving the debt is not mine, Summit AR has yet to respond. The collection account is still appearing on multiple credit bureaus, causing significant financial harm.
I am disputing a collection account related to an alleged vehicle damage claim from a rental car with XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that was later sent to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for collection. I rented a XXXX XXXX from XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. The vehicle was returned to XXXX XXXX International Airport on XX/XX/XXXX at approximately XXXX XXXX. My final XXXX closure receipt showed only a {$64.00} charge for a booster seat and no damage charges. The original rental agreement already documented multiple pre-existing scratches and dents on the vehicle before I took possession of it, including rear bumper and rear fender scratches down to primer. After the rental, I was later contacted regarding alleged vehicle damage and eventually a collection account for approximately {$1800.00} was reported or attempted to be collected. The evidence being used against me appears inconsistent and unreliable.…
I am submitting this complaint regarding inaccurate credit reporting connected to an alleged debt for old work equipment associated with a former employer. This account is being improperly reported as my personal financial obligation despite the fact that I dispute legal responsibility for the debt. I previously disputed this account with the credit bureaus and requested verification. The company continues reporting the account without providing sufficient documentation proving that I personally agreed to or accepted liability for this debt. I am requesting a complete investigation into the accuracy and legality of this reporting. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), furnishers of information are required to report accurate and fully verifiable information. I am requesting that the company provide signed documentation, contracts, or other competent evidence showing I am legally responsible for this alleged balance.…
I rented a vehicle from XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX and purchased insurance coverage. At the time of return, XXXX staff inspected the vehicle and did not identify any damage or issues. I was not asked to sign any document acknowledging damage. After I had already left the location, XXXX later claimed there was damage to the vehicle and demanded payment. I disputed the charge and requested supporting documentation, including photographs, repair estimates, and an explanation of how the amount was calculated. Despite the dispute remaining unresolved and no proper documentation being provided to me, the matter was referred to a third-party debt collector, Summit A * R Inc. , which is now attempting to collect {$680.00}. I believe the debt amount is disputed and unsupported, and I am requesting proper validation of the alleged debt and confirmation that no negative credit reporting will occur while the matter remains disputed.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I rented a XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Rental Agreement No. XXXX ). I returned the vehicle on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX issued a damage claim ( No. XXXX ) for {$590.00}, alleging scratches to the front and rear aluminum wheels on the passenger side. This was the third consecutive damage claim XXXX had filed against me, one for each rental I have had with this location. I paid the previous two claims without dispute. I disputed the third claim directly with XXXX in a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, requesting five categories of documentation : ( 1 ) pre- and post-rental inspection photos with metadata and visible VIN or plate, ( 2 ) chain-of-custody documentation linking damage photos to my rental vehicle, ( 3 ) an itemized repair invoice from a licensed facility, ( 4 ) proof of payment for repairs, and ( 5 ) loss-of-use calculations.…
