I was contacted by a woman stating she was trying to deliver certified mail to me and gave me a phone number to call regarding information of what was being sent. I spoke to man, XXXX XXXX, who claimed to be trying to resolve a debt I owed to XXXX XXXX from XXXX. He stated that I could contact my lawyer and take it to court, have my wages garnished, or pay them directly. I was very confused about the situation but was also scared that my credit was jeopardized and i didn't want legal action against me. I couldn't afford the full amount so he reduced it and allowed me to make a partial payment of {$500.00} using my US Bank credit card and the remaining amount of {$1500.00} the following month using my regular bank account. After the phone call I was advised to contact XXXX XXXX which I did and was told there was no existing debt from XXXX and most likely that was a scam. He told me to contact US Bank and my personal bank to stop the charges.…

I am filing this complaint regarding my U.S. Bank XXXX XXXX Credit Card because I believe U.S. Bank has failed to provide adequate disclosures, has provided poor customer service, and has not properly handled a disputed transaction. When I applied for and opened this credit card, I was not clearly informed of the annual percentage rate ( APR ), cash advance APR, applicable fees, or other important credit terms. After reviewing my account and learning about the interest rates and charges that could apply, I decided to cancel the card on XXXX XXXX, 2026. Had these terms been clearly disclosed and explained before or during account opening, I would not have accepted the card. In addition, I have repeatedly attempted to contact U.S. Bank 's customer service to resolve these issues. On multiple occasions, representatives have disconnected my calls before addressing my concerns.…
XX/XX/year> I randomly checked my US Bank business bank balance and recognized money was missing. I logged on to review the transactions and on XX/XX/year> a XXXX transaction was made for {$9900.00} to XXXX XXXX. I did not recognize the recipients, nor was I ever notified of the transaction or asked for verification of the transaction. I checked to see if my profile had been changed and a new telephone number was registered in my US Bank account, which I did not recognize. I was NOT notified of any change to my bank profile by US Bank. Verification of XXXX transactions was also disabled. I had NOT changed that at any time. I immediately filed a claim ( within 10 min ) with US Bank Fraud Department and was told it would take 10 days to receive a refund to my account while the investigation occurred. I did not receive any credit nor did US Bank contact me at any time for further information. I called several times over the last two weeks and was told it was still pended.…
US Bank charged the savings account I hold after my mother 's passing in her trust. One beneficiary has not taken his funds, so the account must remain open, and there is no reason for activity. They have begun charging a $ XXXX " dormant service charge ''. I called to have the charge removed, letting them know the account is not dormant. Was routed to the wrong dept. where they attempted to fix the issue. They could not and so routed me to customer service. Customer service was able file a form requesting to make the account non-dormant, but could not remove the charge. The portion of my call with that dept. lasted about a half hour. They instructed me that I would have to call back a second time to then again try to get the charge removed. The charge is higher than the interest for that period.

I am filing a complaint against US Bank regarding excessive overdraft fees charged to my checking account between XX/XX/year>. During this period, several small transactions posted to my account over a weekend and were not processed all at once, but rather posted individually over several days. As a result, I was charged 7 separate overdraft fees of {$36.00} each, totaling {$250.00}, on an account balance that was only overdrawn by approximately {$5000.00} before these fees compounded the deficit. The overdraft fees themselves are what drove my account balance to over - {$400.00}, far exceeding the actual amount I was overdrawn. I called US Bank to dispute these fees and was told they were not eligible for waiver without further explanation.…

I am formally disputing the collection account reported by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, as this account is unverified and does not belong to me. Despite my attempts to resolve this matter by contacting both the collection agency and the original creditor, I have not received a satisfactory resolution or sufficient verification of the debt. I request an immediate investigation into this account and demand that you provide verifiable proof of ownership and the validity of this alleged debt. Additionally, I believe this account may be the result of identity theft, as my identity has previously been compromised. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), I expect a prompt response and the removal of any inaccurate or unverifiable information from my credit report. U.S. Bank Allowed Unauthorized Checks and Duplicate Check Presentment on My Account I am filing a complaint against U.S. Bank regarding unauthorized checks that were paid from my personal checking account and repeated failures to prevent duplicate presentment of the same check. Two checks in particular, check XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, were never written, issued, or authorized by me. Despite this, these checks were presented against my account. Most concerning, check XXXX XXXXXXXX was processed and debited from my account twice for {$400.00} each, even though it was the same unauthorized check. This is not the first time I have experienced duplicate check activity on this account. My account history also shows repeated activity involving unauthorized check XXXX XXXX, which was presented multiple times even though I never authorized or issued that check. I have reported these transactions to U.S. Bank, and the bank has opened an investigation.…
I am filing this complaint against Elan XXXX XXXX due to improper interest charges and fee calculations resulting from payment processing date discrepancies. I submitted payments prior to the due date to maintain my grace period. However, Elan 's processing schedules caused delays in posting dates, leading to erroneous interest charges being assessed on my account. I have attempted to resolve this issue directly with Elan XXXX XXXX on multiple occasions : I requested and downloaded complete payment histories, posting dates, and billing statements to verify my compliance with the grace period timeline. I contacted Elan customer support by phone to dispute these charges and explicitly discuss the posting date delays. The phone conversation was recorded for my records. Despite providing evidence that payments were initiated on time, Elan has failed to correct the interest charges and billing errors.…
Issue Summary : I complained once & they fixed it for XXXX month, but, for the past approximately XXXX years, U.S. Bank has been misrepresenting my credit card rewards. Their Cash Back Optimizer dashboard shows my 5 % and 2 % categories as activated and displays my spending totals inside those activated categories. However, the rewards ledger consistently pays only 1 % on those same transactions. This is a deceptive interface and an unfair practice that has caused ongoing financial harm. Details of the Problem : Every quarter, U.S. Banks dashboard shows : My 5 % categories activated My 2 % grocery category activated My spending totals inside those categories A clear implication that I am earning the bonus rate But when I check the actual rewards ledger, U.S. Bank pays only 1 % on these transactions, even though the dashboard itself places the spending inside the activated bonus categories. This is not a merchant coding issue. This is a misrepresentation issue. U.S.…
I disputed a transaction because I was charged an incorrect amount. XXXX acknowledged my dispute and issued a temporary ( provisional ) credit to my account. However, I was then informed that I could not use the temporary credit because my account had a separate returned payment that was unrelated to the disputed transaction. I am requesting that XXXX XXXX XXXX immediately release the provisional credit that was issued for my billing dispute, or provide a written explanation identifying the specific policy, cardholder agreement provision, or legal authority that allows the credit to remain restricted because of an unrelated returned payment. The disputed charge and the returned payment are separate matters, and I am requesting access to the provisional credit while the billing dispute investigation is pending.
I respectfully request that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau investigate U.S. Bank National Association 's mortgage servicing practices, escrow administration, and the accuracy of representations made concerning my mortgage loan. I am currently involved in pending litigation concerning this mortgage loan. During my investigation, I have identified significant questions regarding U.S. Bank 's servicing records, escrow administration, communications with third parties, and the factual basis for representations made concerning my loan. My homeowner 's insurance company has represented through billing statements and its online customer portal that my homeowner 's insurance premiums are paid through an escrow account by my mortgage company and has identified U.S. Bank in connection with my homeowner 's insurance policy. However, I have personally made homeowner 's insurance premium payments, and I have repeatedly questioned the accuracy of those representations.…
My bonus account was unexpectedly closed without notice and I was unable to redeem my cash back rewards I had and never received my bonus spending reward due to this as well. In total of somewhere around {$830.00} has now been lost and the company refuses to do anything about it.
This complaint involves fraudulent charges to my debit card XXXX with US bank. I believe these charges were committed via card skimming. Upon discovering these fraudulent charges, they were reported to US Bank. US Bank did credit my account at that time for these charges, but then subsequently charged them back to my account because, they stated did not receive a form I had to sign. I explained that I never received this form, and they proceeded to dismiss claim by stating it was sent, and one gentleman I spoke with stated " you probably threw it away ''. Again, these charges were charged back to me after initially crediting my account the disputed charges. They have no receipt of me ever having received this document, and I never signed for a document being received. Upon call them back again, they stated they would resend the document ; however I still have not received anything, and the case was closed.…
I am requesting that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau investigate the credit reporting practices of U.S. Bank Home Mortgage regarding my FHA mortgage. I entered a COVID-19 Recovery Standalone Partial Claim in XXXX and successfully completed all required trial payments. In its written response dated XX/XX/XXXX, U.S. Bank acknowledged that an oversight in its new loss mitigation system prevented completion of my approved Partial Claim. The bank also acknowledged that it sent documents containing incorrect dates and that, because of its own internal servicing error, the loss mitigation process had to be restarted. Despite admitting these servicing errors, U.S. Bank has refused to correct the negative credit reporting associated with my mortgage. My concern extends beyond the current reporting of late payments in XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I believe the credit reporting reflects the same underlying delinquency twice because the original loss mitigation process failed due to U.S.…

We made the first XXXX payments but missed the XXXX as our daughter was in the hospital for over a week and we took off of work to be with her. This is the first TPP that we have been on that I am aware of. After the missed XXXX payment I was told by US Bank that I could not make a payment on our mortgage account. I called US Bank after the XXXX was closed out and was told we could not apply for a second one because " FHA does not allow a XXXX temporary payment plan ''. Even though someone I had spoken to previously said we could reapply for a XXXX I spoke with US Bank again last week and was told we did not qualify for any repayment programs and our only option is to pay the forbearance balance in full which is over {$15000.00}.…

Complaint Summary This complaint concerns U.S. Banks repeated use of a proprietary XXXX score identified in its adverse action notices as the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to deny credit line increase requests, while simultaneously soliciting the same consumer for additional credit products through preselected mail offers. The pattern reflected in the attached chronology shows a decisioning system that is opaque, internally inconsistent, and presented to the consumer through adverse-action reasons that do not fairly describe the actual condition of the consumers credit file. U.S. Bank has repeatedly refused to allow normal growth on an existing card account even though the account has shown substantial purchase and payment activity, including several months where purchases and payments exceeded the cards stated credit limit of {$1000.00} over the course of the billing cycle. Instead of granting reasonable growth on the existing relationship, U.S.…
I have inquiries on my report that i did not authorized, all which are hard inquiries and impacting my credit negatively. I did do any of these and i need them removed off my credit report.
I made an online purchase and received a text from XXXX saying : " XXXX : USBank Alert : IS XXXX at ( address ) on XXXXXX/XX/year> valid? Reply 1 yes 2 no. '' ( abbreviated ). I replied 1 ( yes ). I received a text that said : " FreeMsg : USBank Alert : Thanks. Your transaction was declined. Please retry now. Call XXXX for questions or STOP to opt out of ALL Account Alerts '' ( exact text ). When I called this number back my phone warned me that this was a scam number. I called US Bank directly and was told that the transaction had been processed, after I was asked to provide much more information than I typically would to verify my identity ( a full card number or full social security number ). I asked if the text I received was fraudulent and the representative would not answer this question. I asked if I could have information that could identify that the person I was speaking to was from US Bank ( an employee number ) and was told no.…
XXXX XXXX XXXX- Account Takeover On XX/XX/XXXX U.S. Bank allowed {$15000.00} in fraudulent, counterfeit out of state checks to clear. The perpetrators took over my online banking and locked me out. U.S. Bank has closed my profile, Denied my claim, and left me completely destitute despite clear physical proof that I was a victim of XXXX. I was contacted by a person claiming to be a US Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX. He knew my account details. After many phone calls and receiving authentic U.S. Bank fraud alerts and emails while speaking with him he convinced me that he was helping protect my accounts from fraud. He eventually moved money between my accounts, created, and negotiated XXXX fraudulent checks, made unauthorized debit card purchases, changed or attempted to change account information and ultimately emptied my account.
I have twice requested US Bank in the past month to have the number to which the XXXX step verification code is sent to be changed as the number on file is not up to date. Each time the customer service representative affirmed that my account was updated with the current cell phone number for the XXXX step verification process. Each time the old number remained when I tried to access on line banking. I can not access my account and I suspect that this financial institution has added derogatory remarks on my credit report. This is all regarding {$20.00} dollars in charges.
PROBLEM SUMMARY : I am filing this complaint due to US Banks complete failure to properly investigate an unauthorized transaction total alteration, as well as a repeating pattern of improper dispute rejections. WHAT HAPPENED : Merchant altered a completed transaction total without my authorization of a {$110.00}. The original total was supposed to be {$76.00}, but the merchant added an extra {$35.00} without my knowledge or consent. I filed a formal transaction dispute with US Bank. The bank initially issued a temporary credit, but later reversed the credit, taking the {$35.00} back from my account and siding with the merchant without providing any evidence that I approved the altered amount. WHY THE BANK IS IN VIOLATION : XXXX. Failure to Conduct a Reasonable Investigation : Under federal law ( Regulation E for debit cards/ Regulation Z for credit cards ), banks are required to perform a meaningful investigation into unauthorized charges and amount alterations.…
