When I opened my new checking and savings account at US Bank in XXXX, TN, I was told XXXX things I'm disputing : First, I was entitled to an interest free credit card for a year to consolidate credit card fees. I was told that I had initially been approved. I later received a letter and not my card claiming a bankruptcy from 3 years ago didn't qualify me. Secondly, the reason I joined this bank was because of an added {$450.00} bonus after XXXX consecutive direct deposits totaling over {$10000.00}. I've now deposited close to {$20000.00} with their bank manager admitting he lied about this money bonus program eligibility requirements and a 4 day gap in qualifying. So, does the branch manager not know his job? Their recent bonus ended XX/XX/XXXX in which I had XXXX qualifying direct deposits. I just left the XXXX, TN branch feeling disrespected and dismissed. How many other people are they trying to scam?

This complaint concerns XXXX Banks failure to investigate or respond to the issues raised in CFPB Complaint No. XXXX. U.S. Banks response did not answer my complaint, acknowledge the issues I raised, or provide the information I repeatedly requested. My complaint has never been that XXXX incorrectly determined the transactions were not fraud. I disclosed from the beginning that my minor child made the in-app purchases. I was calling to continue dispute claims that had already been started by another U.S. Bank representative after additional transactions posted. During the recorded call, I explained that I was continuing existing disputes. I identified the merchants, Prudent Owl and Sorcery Reels, explained that my minor child had accessed my account, explained that I had already submitted evidence from the merchants, and specifically told the representative that I did not want my child accused of fraud.…
I was called XXXX times for a debt collection within a XXXX minute time span.
US Bank recently changed their credit card rewards redemption options. There has always been a minimum of XXXX points which is fine. But now you must redeem in XXXX increments. This leaves points orphaned and requires consumers to spend more money to be able to use their points. This recent change is an unfair practice. XXXX should have access to all of their points. Setting arbitrary increments ( which are quite large ) is not a fair practice.
I have {$1500.00} left in the account but keeps getting more money added to it I have called multiple times I have verified my identity multiple times they refuse to unlock the card and release my funds and send me a new card I have even had the government agency that it goes through send my stuff and try to get it released the fact that it's still locked when I have done everything they've asked me to and then they keep telling me to call back in XXXX days is really frustrating that is money I need for my children
On XX/XX/XXXX I realized that more than 400 payments were made using my card totaling XXXX XXXXThe charges began on XX/XX/XXXX and continued until XX/XX/XXXX. I was out of the country from XXXX XXXX XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX and did not use my card for any purchases. None of the purchases were authorized by or for me. On XX/XX/XXXX, my U.S. Bank checking account went negative, triggering XXXX {$36.00} overdraft fees on XX/XX/XXXX. My {$800.00} XXXX deposit had, in fact, posted on time that same day I simply believed the timely deposit had resolved the issue and took no further action. I did not call U.S. Bank until XX/XX/XXXX. On that call, I explained the situation and requested a waiver. The representative initially said she had no authority and that " the computer '' had declined. She eventually confirmed with a colleague that my deposit had posted on time and that the XXXX XX/XX/XXXX fees were bank error. I told her this meant the fees that followed caused by the resulting {$72.00} shortfall needed review too. She said there was nothing more she could do, and I accepted the XX/XX/XXXX resolution as stated. Reviewing my account since, I've found this was not accurate.…

I am filing this complaint because U.S. Bank denied my fraud claim for a {$1900.00} XXXX transaction that was connected to a scam. The scam began when I received emails from people falsely claiming to be associated with XXXX. They then called me and continued the scam by pretending to be connected to XXXX. I have copies of the emails from the scammers and can provide them. When the {$1900.00} XXXX transaction occurred, U.S. Bank sent me a fraud-alert text asking about the transaction. I responded that I did not authorize the transaction. I then immediately contacted U.S. Bank, explained that I had been scammed, and filed a fraud claim. U.S. Bank initially issued a provisional credit, but later denied my claim. I received a denial letter dated XX/XX/year> stating that the transaction was correct as billed because I received the services represented by the transaction. That is false. I received no rental booking, no goods, no services, and no benefit from this transaction.…
I disputed a return-shipping charge of over {$1000.00} related to returning XXXX packages from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I believe the charge was excessive, disproportionate, and not clearly disclosed in a way that made the actual cost understandable before the return. My credit card issuer denied the dispute and left me responsible for the full amount. I am requesting that the issuer reopen or reconsider the dispute and provide the merchants actual cost of the labels they provided me, the specific policy language relied upon, and an explanation of why this charge was considered valid.
I was a victim of an online social media check scam. I am innocent, but U.S. Bank closed my account without notice or due process. Bank staff admitted to me that they failed to follow protocol. They are now holding my legitimate employer payroll direct deposit.
I am disputing a charge of {$79.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX booked on XX/XX/XXXX. My bank incorrectly denied my initial dispute on XX/XX/XXXX. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, consumers are protected against charges for " services not received. '' I did not receive this service because my cruise ship was forced to bypass the scheduled port due to severe weather/tender failure. The merchant denied the refund based on a 24-hour notice policy, but notice was impossible as the port cancellation occurred the morning of the tour. The bank failed to properly investigate that performance of the contract was objectively impossible. I have attached the cruise line 's official missed-port verification letter to prove I could not physically access the merchant 's location.

Request for XXXX XXXX Thank you for your willingness to submit an additional inquiry on my behalf. I understand that this request should focus on new developments rather than repeat my previous complaint. I respectfully request that the CFPB review the following issues that have arisen since my earlier complaint : 1. U.S. Bank acknowledged in writing that I received conflicting information regarding the status of my loss mitigation review. 2. During the review process, I was repeatedly informed by U.S. Bank representatives that my file was complete and under review, and a property appraisal/valuation was ordered. 3. After U.S. Bank advised that my loss mitigation review had been concluded, I received another Mortgage Assistance Packet mailed XX/XX/year>. When I later contacted the bank, I was told this mailing was automated and that no further review would occur.…
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the decision to close my U.S. Bank credit card account ( s ) after being classified as high risk. I was surprised and disappointed by this decision. Although I have been carrying a balance, I have consistently been making payments toward my account and have been working diligently to pay off my debt in a responsible manner. At no point have I intended to avoid my financial obligations. Closing my credit card account while I am actively repaying my balance creates unnecessary financial hardship. It negatively impacts my credit profile by reducing my available credit and increasing my credit utilization, making it more difficult for me to improve my financial situation. In addition, I am concerned about how my request for a second review was handled. During my conversation with your representative, I requested that a supervisor review the decision.…

On XX/XX/XXXX, at approximately XXXX XXXX EST, I contacted U.S. Bank to determine why my mortgage trial payment had not been properly applied, even though my payment had been sent and received. After being transferred, I spoke with XXXX, who informed me that my payment had been received but returned by mail because it was not the correct amount. I am a full-time trader, and my bank account regularly has a high volume of legitimate transactions related to my work. I believe this activity may have caused U.S. Bank to flag my account for a fraud review, although the bank has not confirmed the reason. Without prior notice, U.S. Bank restricted my access to my account and all of the funds in it. I immediately contacted the bank and requested information about the restriction. I asked whether my account was frozen or being closed, the reason for the fraud review, what documentation they needed from me, how long the investigation would take, whether any of my funds could be released, and requested a case number and written explanation. Despite my efforts to cooperate, U.S. Bank has refused to provide meaningful information about why my funds are being withheld, what I need to do to resolve the issue, or when I can expect access to my money. I have not received any written notice explaining the restriction.…
