Consistently contacting me about a debt that I have no knowledge of no signed agreement with several violations of FCR
Cancelled my XXXX account. Paid the restocking fees returned all the equipment withing the 30 days. Was told I was good to go. Year later found that XXXX XXXX had continued to bill one of the closed lines and sent me to collections. I have attempted to work with XXXX XXXX repetitively who see the error and sent it to their investigative team to get it resolved with debt collections. Year later repeat. And again. And again. Despite trying to reach ANY department that can help I get sent to a call center to be repetitively hung up on, stonewalled, or made to take repetitive unnecessary steps. All the while not fixing the problems. I am now denying the debt to yet another collection agency
I am submitting this complaint against Unifin regarding repeated and excessive debt collection communications. The company continues to send me repeated text messages on a daily basis, which I consider harassing and excessive under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). The frequency of these communications has become disruptive and stressful. I am formally disputing this alleged debt and requesting proper validation of the debt. Unifin has not adequately provided sufficient proof that this debt legally belongs to me. Under the FDCPA, I am requesting that Unifin provide : * A complete validation of the debt * The name and address of the original creditor * The original account number * Documentation showing I am legally responsible for the debt * A copy of any signed agreement or contract connected to the alleged debt * A complete payment history and accounting of the balance * Proof that Unifin has legal authority to collect this debt I also request that the company…

I am filing a complaint regarding repeated and unwanted communications from Unifin Inc.. I have been receiving daily text messages and phone calls from this company attempting to collect a debt. The messages typically state that they are a debt collector and ask me to contact them regarding a reference number. I previously informed the company that I do not wish to be contacted by phone or text message and requested that all communication be in writing only. Despite this request, the company continues to send text messages and place calls on a daily basis. I attempted to send a formal written request via email to stop communication, but the email system failed to deliver properly due to issues on the companys end. These repeated communications are unwanted and constitute harassment.…

The phone number that contacted me was XXXX Today I received a text message ( the 2nd or 3rd time already ) and it included this text : This is Unifin, a debt collector. So I assumed this number that's texting me is a scammer. I did not click the link in the text message either, just searched the Unifin company directly and input my info on their website. I have received the same text a few weeks ago but I blocked the contact right away. I believe it was a different telephone number.

At XXXX XXXX I received a call once I answered and said hello. It took a moment before a person joined the line. She asked for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX The name of my deceased grandmother and sister, and I told her I am neither of those two people. I tried asking who she was and she rambled off thank you and hung up real quick. I called the number back and found out it was for Unifin Incorporated. I told them I am on the national do not Call registry and asked him to remove my contact info for someone elses debt. I contacted my sister and she stated they have her phone number and have been in contact with her. They have no reason to call or contact me anytime past or future.
